Si Cranstoun to release new single ‘Never Gonna Let You Go’ 16th February

Si busked on the street  for 20 years before he was spotted and signed to Warner Music, probably making him the longest overnight success. Since being signed Si has appeared on Lorraine, This Morning and Alan Titchmarsh.

He told MarkMeets: “I’m so fired up with this new track as it’s the one from the new album with all the energy which I hope will uplift people out of the winter blues. While writing the hook line on the train and missed my station for the studio session by 5 stops :)”

“As an artist it great to get the opportunity to be part of a song that clearly portrays your influences which Jackie Wilson & The Motown Sound !!”

Si’s last 2 singles were play listed on Radio 2 and magic and Si performed at some of the biggest festivals in the UK including the Radio 2 event proms in the Park. Si’s vocal style has been compared to the likes of Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke, while his music is a pure blend of northern soul, Motown and vintage pop.  Si has been a leader on the Vintage scene for the last few years, heading Twinwood and Atomic festival and now he is crossing over in to the mainstream.

Si Cranstoun is set to be the voice of 2015 having achieved so much with his initial step up from King of the Vintage scene to success at radio and a jam packed festival season in 2014 since signing to Warner Music UK’s East West, and the release of his debut album ‘Modern Life’, Si is now set to release his brand new single ‘Never Gonna Let You Go’ on 16th February. Having honed his musical style busking, ‘The Voice of the Streets’ is now set to take the charts by storm.

‘Never Gonna Let You Go’ follows up the success of both , ‘Caught in the Moonlight’ and ‘Dance For Evermore’ which both gained extensive national airplay and huge TV coverage including Lorraine, Alan Titchmarsh and Good Morning Britain.

Cranstoun’s vocal style has been compared to the likes of Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke, while his music is a pure blend of northern soul, Motown and vintage pop. With hugely catchy hooks and a contemporary pop sound that also captures the look and feel of a golden era in soul and r&b, Cranstoun’s sound is full of the classic energy and verve a by gone era but brought up to the present day, with the likes of Chris Evans describing him as “A squeeze of The Bee Gees, a bit of Billy Joel, a dash of Dean Freidman, and a ripple of Rodriguez.”
